Tej Bahadur Yadav, a Jawan of the 29th battalion of Seema Suraksha Bal in J&K hit to fame when few videos of him went viral. The videos were upload on his Facebook profile on 8 January, 2017.
In these videos Tej Bahadur accused senior BSF officers of selling various food ingredients in black. Thus leaving behind inappropriate food for BSF jawans. He also said that sometimes they don’t even get food to eat.
After all the accusations he at last requested to make the videos viral so that investigation would take place. He also said that after uploading this video there is no guarantee of him being alive tomorrow, as top officials can do anything!
On 9 Feb, Tej Bahadur’s wife, Sharmila Devi, approached the Delhi high court as she was worried about her husband’s safety. According to her she was not able to contact her husband for past few days. She requested authorities to present her husband before the court.
On Feb 15, BSF advocate Gaurang Kanth told the court that Yadav’s phone which he used to upload the videos was taken as part of the investigation. He has already purchased a new mobile phone and no restriction has been placed. He can contact the family whenever he wants. Thus turning down the allegations of Sharmila Devi.
Though Sharmila Devi, met her husband on 15 Feb, after High Court’s order on 10 Feb. The family alleged that Tej Bahadur was threatened and tortured. Soon after the family allegations Tej Bahadur, released a new video on 2 March, and again alleged about the ill behaviour and torture done on him.
