Tamil Nadu, CM, Jayalalitha Jayaram aka Amma was admitted to Apollo Hospitals, Chennai on September 22, 2016 when she complained about dehydration and high fever. It has nearly been three months since she was admitted to the hospital.
On Oct 6, Doctors said that she was on respiratory support as she was suffering from lung infection. After going through the treatment, the authorities on November 5,said that Amma is recovering well. While a good news came on November 17, when a senior AIADMK leader stated that, Amma has recovered fully from the infection.
However on December 4, Jayalalithaa suffered from a cardiac arrest. She was immediately placed on extracorporeal life support (ECLS) and was being treated by the special team of doctors.
On December 5, Jayalalithaa was said to be critical. And on the same day at 11:30 p.m, she breathed her last. The news about her death was confirmed by NDTV.
